‘The best stadium I have played in’ – Brazilian star looks forward to returning to the home of the Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur may have only just moved into their new stadium but it is already jam-packed full of memories for the North London club.

The fact that it is built on the site of the old White Hart Lane certainly gives in a homely feel for the loyal fans, as they can make that same iconic walk down to the ground.

Absence also makes the heart grow fonder, so a year and a half away at Wembley has definitely given Tottenham a firm appreciation of their new state-of-the-art stadium.

The Lilywhites have already hosted a Champions League semi-final within their new walls, as well as a packed-out screening for the final itself in Madrid.

Tottenham fans and players will be hoping and dreaming that they can add a trophy this season to top off their incredible transition into the new ground.

Lucas Moura is certainly looking forward to returning home against Inter Milan and Aston Villa after he scored the first-ever hat-trick at the ground (Tottenham): “I miss playing in our stadium. For me, it’s the best stadium I’ve played in. I’m so excited to play there again, to play well, to score goals, to make the fans happy. That’s my objective this season. I’m sure we can do it.”

On Inter Milan he added: “They have all been great games and now one more test to go before the start of the season. It will be tough, a good game to play to get ready. I’m looking forward it. I hope we can have a good game back in our stadium and do a good job for the fans.”
