Sergio Reguilon has taken to social media to welcome his former Sevilla teammate Bryan Gil to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham confirmed the capture of Gil from Sevilla on Monday, with Erik Lamela moving to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as a part of the deal.
Spurs reportedly also paid €25m (£21.3m) on top of Lamela to secure the signing of the 20-year-old.
Gil is considered by some to be one of the best young prospects in Spanish football and the youngster’s stock rose even further after his impressive loan spell at Eibar last season.
Reguilon, who played alongside the winger during his loan spell at Sevilla in the 2019-20 campaign, was the biggest cheerleader of the club’s pursuit of the youngster, even asking the club to ‘announce it’ yesterday.
When Tottenham finally confirmed the deal on Monday evening, the left-back took to social media to assure his compatriot that he will ‘love’ life at Spurs.

Having an international teammate and a friend at Spurs in Reguilon should help Gil settle in quicker in North London. Hopefully, agent Sergio will also put in a word or two to convince Jules Kounde to make the jump.
