Tottenham Hotspur yesterday posted a photo of Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele together in training.
The photo appeared on the club’s Twitter page and left some Spurs fans drooling at the prospect of watching the pair in action next season.
Ndombele was linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in European football with Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid all said to have been keen admirers of the 22-year-old (Standard).
Mousa Dembele’s departure to China in January certainly left a void in the Spurs midfield despite Moussa Sissoko’s brilliant displays as a box to box player which saw him completely transform himself from an almost flop to something of a cult icon among the North London faithful.
The former Lyon man could be set to add another dimension to Tottenham’s final third with his ability to provide a slide-rule, defence-splitting passes from the middle part of the pitch.
