The Heung Min Son stat that proves he is a contender for player of the season

Tottenham Hotspur fans would have been fighting back the tears this time a month ago, as the final whistle sounded against Man United.

Spurs had lost the match, dropped three points, fallen away in the title race, had to wave goodbye to Sonny for a possible three weeks, and the salt in the wound, Harry Kane was injured again.

Kane was said to be looking at early March as a return date, with Dele Alli receiving the same prognosis after an injury of his own in the next match against Fulham.

The only saving grace, Qatar had knocked South Korea out of the Asia Cup, and Sonny was coming home early.

Since his return, Son has maintained the sensational form before his spell away. He has now scored in every game since he touched back down in London.

Despite not being in the starting line up much at the start of the season, and enduring two periods away from the club, Son has become a real contended for player of the season.

And here is the stat to prove it: Since the 19th of December, Son has played 11 games, scored 11 goals, and set up a further five goals.

Nice one Sonny!
