The incredible stats that show Spurs should win the League

Tottenham Hotspur find themselves well in the race for the Premier League title with just 12 games remaining.

Spurs haven’t spent a penny over the entire season, they have been without a real home stadium, have been battered with first team injuries, and have been forced to part ways with Son on two occasions.

Despite all this, they are only five points behind both Man City and Liverpool, with a game in hand on the former.

This shows the real quality of this Spurs side, and some new stats have emerged to explain just how unlucky they would be not to win the League.

So far, Spurs have 60 points from 26 League games, averaging out at 2.3 points per game.

If they kept up this level of performance, they would finish the season with a rounded figure of 88 points.

Only once in the history of the Premier League has a side finished on 88 points or more and failed to win the title.

This came back in 2010/11 when Man City pipped United on goal difference on that famous final day.

The average Prem winning points tally is actually 86.43, so Spurs are well on course to beat that, but can they beat both Man City and Liverpool?
