The Lo Celso and Moura stat which will give most Spurs fans hope

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso one of his main targets this summer (Football.London).

The 23-year-old had a fantastic season on loan at Betis from PSG, following which the La Liga club took up the option of buying him on a permanent basis.

The silky left-footer netted 16 goals in all competitions for Betis last season and impressed a lot of people with his technique and creativity.

With Christian Eriksen recently revealing his desire to seek a new challenge (Ekstra Bladet), Lo Celso might be the man to replace the Dane.

It turns out that the Argentine has already played with Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier for a brief period before the pair swapped Paris for North London.

Signed by Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 from Rosario Central in Argentina, the playmaker played in the same team as Moura on 11 occasions.

According to Football.London, the pair have never been on the losing side when they have played together, winning 9 and drawing the other two games. Spurs fans will be hoping that the club can secure Lo Celso’s signing and his record with Moura continues.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is unclear if the club will pay the transfer fee that Betis are demanding for Le Celso as it has been claimed that they will only do so if Eriksen is to depart. We believe that the 23-year-old will drastically improve the squad and is exactly what Tottenham need at the moment.
