‘The man does not shut up’ – Journalist gives honest assessment of Tottenham player

Tottenham Hotspur had a busy summer this year as they splashed the cash under Jose Mourinho, continuing the squad rebuild in North London.

Daniel Levy and co paid transfer fees for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon, and Matt Doherty, while securing loans for Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius.

However, one piece of business that went slightly under the radar was the free transfer of Joe Hart, who left Burnley after his contract expired at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Since then, the former England shot-stopped has managed to displace Paulo Gazzaniga as the number two keeper at Tottenham, behind France captain Hugo Lloris.

Most recently, Hart was given a start against LASK in the Europa League group stages on Thursday, keeping a clean sheet and pulling off some impressive saves.

Football London journalist, Alasdair Gold has now given an honest insight into what it is like being at a crowd-less game with Joe Hart in goal.

He said (Football London): “The loudest man by far at Spurs is Joe Hart. Put simply the man does not shut up.

“The goalkeeper shouts, organises and bellows from before the first whistle until the final one and at one point the 33-year-old even yelled: “He’s behind you.” To be fair to the former England international, Spurs did register their first clean sheet of the season with him between the sticks so it did the trick.”
