The man who saved Glenn Hoddle’s life

Ex-Tottenham player and manager Glenn Hoddle collapsed at the BT Sport Studios on Saturday morning, and was fighting for his life in the night.

Hoddle suffered a heart attack just after appearing on Robbie Savage’s BT Sport morning show Saturday Morning Savage.

The pundit was still at the BT Studios when he suffered the cardiac arrest.

He was then rushed to hospital where he fought for his life. He is still said to be in a critical condition, but is responding well to treatment.

However, now The Daily Mail have reported that Hoddle may not have even made it that far if it had not been for a BT Sport employee.

Production crew member, Simon Daniels was one of the first on the scene after Hoddle collapsed, and proceeded to give him life-saving mouth to mouth.

Daniels used to training as a constable to help the former England boss in any way he could.

He told The Sun: “It was pretty horrific. I just did what I could to help.

“Robbie Savage, Paul Ince and Harry Redknapp were all praising me after I had dealt with Glenn. I told them, ‘look, I just did what I had to do.’

“It didn’t matter that it was Glenn Hoddle or someone who I didn’t know. Someone was having a medical episode and if I didn’t do something it would have got worse.”
