Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg already seems to have become a fan favourite at Tottenham Hotspur, with his no-nonsense, tough-tackling style of play.
The midfielder was the first of the seven signings to come through the door at Spurs during the summer but his arrival was not met with the same fanfare as some of the others.
However, not only has Hojbjerg proven to be the club’s most valuable addition but he has arguably been the signing of the summer across the Premier League.
The former Southampton man has become an important cog in the base of Tottenham’s midfield and has been one of the main reasons Jose Mourinho’s men now boast the best defensive record in the division.
It is not just on the pitch that Hojbjerg’s impact has been felt but it looks as though the midfielder has also made a terrific impression on those working within the North London club.
Former Spurs midfielder, Ryan Mason has revealed that he has been extremely impressed with the 25-year-old’s intelligence and his obsession with football.
Mason, who now works as the Head of Player Development at the club, told the club’s official website (as relayed by TBR Football), after a session with the club’s Under-18s: “Today was excellent – we’re very grateful that Pierre took some time out of his busy schedule to speak to our boys.

“Obviously it’s important that we get our messages to the players reinforced and it’s so much more powerful when it comes not only from us as the coaching team, but from the current first-team players.
“Pierre is a very, very intelligent man, he’s made a massive impression on me and I’m sure all the players as well, because the way he spoke, the passion and the obsession he has for football, it’s admirable, and we’re very lucky that he’s representing our football club.”
