The one record Spurs fans won’t want Kane to break

We have all run out of superlatives to describe Harry Kane over the last five years or so. Whenever you think the England captain has a hit a ceiling as a player, he proves people wrong and improves even further.

After Spurs made a less than ideal start to the season with just one win in their first four Premier League games, the striker’s form was questioned.

He answered his critics in typical fashion as he netted 4 goals in 2 games for England to take his tally for the season up to 7 goals so far.

England now sit on top of Group A with maximum points in their four games and, baring a massive collapse, should qualify comfortably for the European Championships.

However, BonusCodeBets (as reported by Football.London) have revealed that the 26-year-old could break a unique record when he leads England out in the tournament next summer.

If England end up bringing the trophy home, then the Tottenham star could be the first captain to lift the European Championships without having ever won a major trophy at club level.

There is no doubt that Kane is a model professional and that he deserves all the success that he gets on the football pitch. However, Spurs fans will certainly be hoping that this is one record that he fails to break as it could exactly be the sort of thing that could make him consider leaving the club.
