Tottenham Hotspur face increasing pressure to get rid of Thomas Frank, but there is a reason he still has his job in spite of the club’s abysmal form.

According to Football Insider, Spurs have decided against pulling the trigger on Frank because they are not convinced a top target will be available to replace him.
Tottenham lack confidence that they would be able to persuade an elite manager away from a job in the middle of the season, allowing the Dane additional time to make things right.
However, should Spurs eventually decide to show Frank the door, an interim manager is likely to be appointed to see out the remainder of the season.
The financial implications of sacking Frank have also affected decision-making, as Tottenham would be forced to pay the manager a whopping £8m in compensation.
Keeping Frank could be more costly to Spurs
It is understandable that Tottenham would like to avoid losing £8m due to offloading a manager who was only appointed last summer.
However, Spurs are just eight points off the relegation zone, and with West Ham recently gaining some momentum, safety from the drop is not a guarantee.
Tottenham would be worse off financially if they went down to the Championship, and it would be extremely damaging to the club’s global reputation, which could affect commercial deals.
Therefore, most Spurs fans would agree that a decision must be made as soon as possible to replace Frank with someone who will get the team some victories.
