‘The situation has changed’ – Fabrizio Romano claims Spurs star is now ‘super happy’

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Harry Kane is now ‘super happy’ to work with Antonio Conte and the star-striker has a very good relationship with the Italian.

Kane netted his first Premier League goal under Conte in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool but the striker would have been disappointed not to score more, given the opportunities he had in the game.

The 28-year-old is yet to find his scoring boots under the new Spurs boss, having just found the back of the net twice since his arrival.

However, Conte has insisted that he has been happy with the England captain’s all-around performances and the effort he is putting in for the team.

There have been some reports suggesting that Manchester City could reignite their interest in Kane after having missed out on him this summer.

However, Romano has now declared that he cannot see the Tottenham striker leaving the North London club in January.

The journalist said on the latest episode of the Here We Go Podcast (21/12/21): “I want to say that Harry Kane, now with Antonio Conte, he’s super happy.

“He scored his goal and he thinks that the situation has changed with Antonio Conte and Paratici.

“The atmosphere is very good, but we will see in the summer. I don’t see Harry Kane leaving in January.

“The relationship with Conte is very good, they see each other as the future of the project.”

Spurs Web Opinion

If Spurs show signs of progress under Conte and finish in the top four this season, then I believe Kane will sign a new contract. What would also help is if Spurs go all the way in the Carabao Cup, given that not having a single piece of silverware to show for his achievements so far, is likely to be playing on Kane’s mind.
