‘The squad is still unsettled’ – Pochettino claims transfer window affecting Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur somehow rescued a point away to Man City in the Premier League this evening, with Lucas Moura nodding home a corner 19 seconds after coming on.

Against the run of play is an understatement and a half, as Man City dominated the Lilywhites from the start to finish, yet the scoreline still reads 2-2.

Pochettino has claimed that the fact the transfer window is still open is unsettling his squad at the start of this 2019/20 campaign.

While Premier League clubs can no longer buy players, clubs in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and more can continue bringing new stars in until September.

This means that Poch could yet lose multiple first-team stars, which he clearly believes is having a negative effect on the pitch.

He also admitted that Man City were the better team today, which was clear for all to see.

It remains to be seen whether the Spurs squad of today will remain the same come the start of September.

Poch said (Football London): “I think they were better. They dominated the game. It was so clear the game. With the circumstances I am happy with the point here. Like I said after the game against Villa we need to improve a lot. The squad is still unsettled. We need to wait until the transfer windows close in Europe.”
