The ten players Spurs should sell this summer in mass overhaul

Tottenham Hotspur will surely finally undergo a much-needed overhaul of their squad this summer, as Pochettino looks to invest in some youthful new talent.

With a number of Spurs contracts coming to a close, there will likely be a number of outgoings to make space for the fresh spaces.

But which players should Poch and Levy sell? Here are ten Spurs stars who should be sold this summer:

Vincent Janssen – This one speaks for itself. He has been frozen out of the squad all season, never made an impression, and now Spurs are trying to shop window him before the summer.

Serge Aurier – Has rarely looked comfortable at right back, always a liability. Although Trippier has had a bad season too, he should be kept over Aurier purely for the Prem experience and homegrown player rule.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou – Another one who has never made much of an impact. Spurs need to stop loaning him out, cut their losses, and get his wages off the bill.

Cameron Carter-Vickers – Once looked promising, but never seems to cut it when he goes out on loan. Perhaps it is time to move him along.

Marcus Edwards – Another youngster who has never quite lived up to the billing. Pochettino must now decide whether to give him a first team chance or to offload him. With the emergence of Troy Parrott, I would say sell.

Josh Onomah – Much like Carter-Vickers, he never seems to be popular when he goes out on loan. A problem with work ethic and consistency, I doubt he will make it at Spurs.

Erik Lamela – A shame, because on his day Lamela is a great player. Unfortunately his injuries have always got the better of him, and perhaps it is time to recoup some money.

Hugo Lloris – A permanent fixture in the Tottenham goal for a number of years and a true legend. However, unless he regains consistency, it may be time to look to the future.

Victor Wanyama – Another great player, but if Spurs want to bring in a new central midfielder, Wanyama would likely find himself fifth in line, and should be moved on as a result.

Christian Eriksen – I would love to keep Eriksen if he is willing to sign a new deal. But, if it’s a choice of keeping him for another year and losing him on a free, or selling him now, I would take the money.

What do you think? Did we miss any out? Do some of the above deserve to stay?
