The three players Graham Roberts singled out for praise after Man City draw

Graham Roberts singled out three Tottenham Hotspur players for praise following yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Manchester City.

The former Spurs defender took to Twitter to firstly give credit to Erik Lamela after the midfielder scored the equaliser after Raheem Sterling had nodded the home side ahead just minutes earlier.

Tanguy Ndombele threaded the ball through to Lamela just outside the box and he jinked one way, went the other and curled beyond Ederson.

Roberts also acknowledged the efforts of the central defensive partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez who he believed did well at the heart of the back four in the second half.

With the availability of Dele Alli and Heung-min Son, Roberts thought that Spurs performed well to pick up a hard-fought point against the current Premier League champions.

Next up for Tottenham is the visit of Newcastle United to North London next Sunday afternoon.

Here’s what Roberts had to say on Twitter.
