Yes, you read that correctly, if things go Tottenham’s way this weekend, the title race could actually be in their hands come the end of the game week.

Spurs currently sit just five points off the League leaders Man City and Liverpool, with a game in hand on the former.

Tottenham play Burnley this weekend, with Liverpool facing Manchester United.

If Spurs managed three points in their own game, and United do them a favour and beat their rivals Liverpool, the Premier League title would officially be in Spurs’ hands.

These results would pull Tottenham just two points behind both Liverpool and City, with all clubs having played 27 games.

As Tottenham have Liverpool and City away games still to come this season, if the Lilywhites somehow managed to win all 11 remaining games, the title would be theirs.

A difficult and unlikely run of wins, but they most important message is that Tottenham have managed to pull their way right into the title race for the season run in.
