The worrying result of Kieran Trippier’s injury

Tottenham Hotspur are beginning to get a bunch of their injured players back in first team training.

However, England full back Kieran Trippier will likely be out until the end of this month, ruling him out of vital matches against Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Arsenal.

While on paper this seems like a short term absence not worth worrying about, there is one underlying issue.

In Trippier’s absence, Serge Aurier must now mark Eden Hazard when Spurs take on Chelsea at Wembley tomorrow.

Hazard is arguably the best player in the Premier League, if not the world, right now, and Aurier, well his defending is often questionable.

Now, Kieran Trippier has been very far from his best this campaign, but I would have more faith in him stepping up and doing a job like this than Aurier.

I just can’t help but think Serge has a red card or a penalty in him come the 5:30pm kick off.

Here’s hoping he proves me wrong.
