‘There have been calls’ – Spurs star reveals other clubs are interested in him

Tottenham star, Moussa Sissoko has now revealed that his agent has received calls from other clubs, although he remains focused on the North London side.

The French midfielder is currently contracted until 2023 but he admitted that he was unsure as to whether he would remain at the club until the end of that deal.

Sissoko joined Spurs from Newcastle United back in 2016 off the back of a promising run of games at the EUROs and then signed a contract extension in September 2019.

Since joining, Sissoko has made 190 appearances in a Lilywhite shirt, although he has as many bookings in that time as he does combined goals and assists (21).

So far this season, the Frenchman has recorded 18 appearances across all competitions, although he has been in and out of the side in recent weeks (TransferMarkt).

Sissoko revealed in a recent interview with beIN Sports that he was currently focused on performing for Spurs and making the France squad for EURO 2020 at the end of the season.

He said (relayed by Foot Mercato): “Am I going to stay here? I don’t know.

“My contract ends in 2023. I could tell you, yes but we know things go very quickly in football. I’m trying to have the best possible season with my club. There’s the Euros at the end of it and I hope to be there.

“The external things, I let my agent deal with them. There have been calls from various clubs, but I remain focused on Tottenham.”
