Tottenham midfielder, Harvey White has expressed his delight at putting pen to paper on a new contract at the club and admitted that he believes he can play a big part in the first team in the coming years.
White is one of a number young talents who is generating a lot of excitement amongst those at the club and among the fanbase.
The 19-year-old was heavily involved during pre-season along with the likes of Dennis Cirkin and Alfie Devine.
The teenager was handed his first-team debut for Spurs last month as he came on as a substitute during Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Ludogorets.
The midfielder certainly seems to have impressed Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff as the club handed him a four-year deal a few days ago. White is confident that there is a pathway into the first-team under the current regime.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m really happy. I feel like I’ve taken the next step in my career to sign this deal at Tottenham and I feel like there’s definitely a pathway here with this manager and the players, who have all got a winning mentality. I want to be a part of it.”
The Spurs academy graduate admitted that the new deal was a major vote of confidence in his ability and the work he has been putting in.
White added: “This is my third pro deal. I’m still 19, so that tells me that the Club has got a lot of trust in me and that they can see a future in me. I just want to pay it back on the pitch.
“I’m gaining a lot of confidence but it also brings a lot of pressure as well now that I’ve signed a new deal, because I’ve got to go to the next stage with my football ability. It provides a lot of confidence but also a lot of pressure because the club is expecting more from me now.”

Tottenham have a very good crop of youngsters coming through at the moment with the likes of White, Dennis Cirkin, Dane Scarlet, Malachi Fagan-Walcott and potentially even Alfie Devine, all having the talent to break into the first-team in the future. White is the player we at Spurs Web are most excited about from that group and it is very promising to hear that he believes there is a pathway into the first team if he keeps progressing.
