Some Spurs fans have rubbished suggestions that Tottenham could make another attempt to sign Paulo Dybala this summer.
Tottenham reportedly came very close to landing the Argentine after agreeing on a fee with Juventus last summer but complications with the forward’s image rights doomed the deal in the final moments (Independent).
It has since emerged that the 25-year-old had even recorded a goodbye video with Juve that was due to be released after his move to Spurs was announced (La Gazzetta dello Sport).
Dybala has gone on to have a fantastic season in Turin after the failed transfer, winning the Serie A Player of the Season award on the back of guiding Juve to yet another Scudetto.
Gazzetta Dello Sport (via The Sun) claimed earlier this week that Juve are ready to cash-in on the former Palermo man and use the money to rebuild the squad.
The report had some Spurs fans dreaming that Daniel Levy could make another attempt to sign the Juve star. However, others quickly shut down the rumours and suggested that the North Londoners had no chance of landing Dybala.

Daniel Levy all will be forgotten if you bring this man to Spurs, do the right thing and rectify your previous mistake.

Spurs fans choose to be hurt, why else would you believe that we’re signing Dybala ?

Idk if this is a popular or unpopular opinion, but Spurs should sell Dele Alli to try and find the money for Dybala.

Can people stop hyping the Dybala rumours? There’s no chance we get him. He even said in a recent interview that all the Dybala to Spurs stuff wasn’t ever what he wanted and he just wanted to stay at Juventus.

Dybala is not coming to Spurs, they duped everyone last year, pretending we had £70 million and then claiming poverty for the last 9 months…..

If Spurs sign Dybala i’ll never slag off Levy ever again. pic.twitter.com/OCJms6Nqy2

Dybala, Bale and Coutinho… Seemingly all available. None of them are coming to Spurs. Don’t do it to yourselves. Just enjoy the daily footage of Hojbjerg’s medical. #COYS

Why is everyone talking about Dybala coming Spurs. Has a reliable source said anything about it happening or are you all dreaming again?

Everyone thinking dybala is coming to the club when in reality spurs are looking at Ryan Fraser. Ahhh

Spurs Web Opinion
Dybala’s value has gone up considerably compared to last summer on the back of the season he has had. Additionally, we are not in a position to make big-money signings like we did last summer. Even if we were to receive a substantial cash influx through selling Ndombele, I suspect the money will be invested into multiple positions, rather than on a single marquee singing.
