A trip to the Emirates Stadium is arguably the first fixture that Tottenham Hotspur fans look for when the fixtures are announced.

In reality, the game could not come at a worse time with Mauricio Pochettino’s side having performed poorly in their opening three Premier League matches.

Whether Pochettino has picked his strongest eleven in the matches played to date is certainly questionable.

Jan Vertonghen is yet to even kick a ball this season with the Spurs boss instead deciding to opt for a central defensive partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez.

Christian Eriksen is another star player who has found himself on the bench for two of the matches.

Yesterday, the Belgian national side announced their squad for the matches against San Marino and Scotland which included both Vertonghen and Alderweireld.

Some Spurs fans took to Twitter to react to the announcement with a few even insisting that both players must start in the North London derby.
