“They can beat anybody” – Liverpool star lavishes praise on Spurs

Tottenham will go up against Liverpool on the 1st of June at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, for the honour of being crowned European champions.

Both teams will come into the game with a lot of confidence after pulling off improbable comebacks in the second legs of their respective semifinal clashes.

With neither Jurgen Klopp nor Mauricio Pochettino having won a trophy during their time in England, the game in Madrid represents a great chance for one of the two to break their duck by bagging the biggest prize in European football.

Liverpool come into the game as favourites having finished 26 points above Spurs in the Premier League, and having won both meetings against the Lilywhites this season.

However, Reds’ skipper Jordon Henderson has issued a warning to his team by insisting that Tottenham can beat anybody on their day.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, the England midfielder said, “We all know how good Spurs are – great players and on the day, they can beat anybody really.

“So it’ll be a really tough final. So we need to be ready.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While Henderson is doing the polite thing by being respectful to his opponents, the Liverpool players will believe that the trophy is theirs to lose. However, we at Spurs Web believe Mauricio Pochettino’s side are more than capable of beating the Reds, and will certainly push them close on the day with the likes of Harry Kane and Harry Winks back fit.
