Manchester United have confirmed today that they have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager on a full-time basis.

The Norwegian has signed a three-year contract with the Red Devils, ending months of speculation linking Mauricio Pochettino to the job.

The Argentine was the bookies’ favourite to get the job with several former players including the likes of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes calling for the club to appoint Pochettino.

While the 46-year-old has reiterated his commitment to Spurs multiple times, that didn’t stop journalists from continuing to speculate, with some publications even suggesting that the deal was agreed.

However, Solskjaer has performed admirably at the helm and has managed to revive Man Utd’s season, which has now earned him the role on a full-time basis.
