‘They tell me to shave his hair’ – Spurs player’s hairdresser makes funny admission

Bryan Gil’s hairdresser, Ivan Rueda, has revealed that people often ask him to shave off the Tottenham star’s hair but admitted that the winger likes it that way.

Gil has a distinctive style of play, with the 22-year-old loving to get on the ball out wide and take players on but perhaps the most distinctive thing about him is his hairstyle.

The on-loan Tottenham man’s haircut is quite a throwback, appearing to be influenced by the Beatles, a far cry from the sort of styles that youngsters rock these days.

It is a haircut that Gil has had right from his younger days and he admitted last year that he has never liked having short hair since the age of ten (Football.London).

His hairdresser has now seemingly distanced himself from the winger’s style, admitting that he has no influence over it and is only following the Spain international’s instruction.

Rueda told El Desmarque: “Footballers create style. Kids look to their idols and Bryan is one of them.

“He’s very clear about what he wants. He has his style and he has it quite marked.

“That’s what he likes and I follow what he tells me. They tell me to shave his hair.

“But he has his style and his personality, and I think he’s terrific.”

Gil’s hairdresser has chosen his words very carefully here while also absolving himself of any responsibility for the haircut, which is not surprising as it is evidently an abomination.
