‘They will go for it’ – Journalists backs club to push ahead with move for Spurs star

Sport BILD journalist Christian Falk is in no doubt that Bayern Munich will push ahead with a move for Harry Kane next summer if the Tottenham man is on the market.

There has been a lot of speculation over Kane’s future over recent weeks, with the striker’s current deal with the north London club running until the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt).

Reports in England over recent weeks have indicated that the striker is open to starting talks with the Lilywhites regarding a new deal when the time is right (Ben Jacobs).

However, German publications continue to link the England captain with a move to the Allianz Arena, with the 29-year-old alleged to be Bayern’s top target to replace Robert Lewandowski, who completed a switch to Barcelona this summer (TZ).

Falk has now insisted that Kane is still at the top of the Bundesliga giants’ wishlist but he stated that the club have not begun talks yet and are not sure if they would be able to push through a deal for the Spurs man.

The journalist told Bayern Insider podcast regarding Kane: “Bayern still have him on their list as a top candidate. But the club is not really sure whether they will get him.

“If he comes on the market, then they will go for it. But we can’t say that at the moment. The talks haven’t started yet. But they definitely want to push that for the new year.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see a world where Kane leaves the Premier League, even if he declines a new contract from Tottenham. So, Bayern will likely have to look elsewhere. As soon as Spurs tie Conte down to a new contract, which will be their main priority for the moment, they will begin talks with Kane’s entourage over a new deal.
