‘This club means everything to me’ – Yves Bissouma is excited by Spurs’ potential

Yves Bissouma is just as excited as Spurs fans right now, when it comes to the project being built at the club and the potential the squad has.

It has been an inconsistent season for Bissouma, who started the campaign so strong, yet has dropped off in recent weeks and made a number of mistakes.

Regardless, the Malian has remained in Ange Postecoglou‘s starting XI by and large, despite intense competition from the likes of Pape Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Yves Bissouma loves Tottenham Hotspur

It is a testament to the strength in depth Postecoglou now has at his disposal with injuries at a minimum. Indeed, with another transfer window looming and upgrades to the playing squad expected, the future is bright for Tottenham.

Bissouma certainly thinks so, and the midfielder has revealed just how much the club means to him in the latest matchday programme. He said: “We’re going to work really hard to put the team where we want to be because this team deserves a lot. I believe we can achieve great things because we have so many young players with so much talent.

“That’s why I’m not worried about the club’s future, because I know we will one day be where we are aiming to be. This club means everything to me, to be a Spurs player is such a big deal, it’s a blessing for me to be here and I’m enjoying my moment here.

“I’m not only doing this for me but for the club, for the fans, for my family and for everyone. I love everyone here and I feel love from everyone here as well so that’s the most important thing in life and football. I want only the best for this club.”

Spurs Web Opinion

We already have a really strong and exciting squad, and it’s only going to get better when we add new players and as existing players improve under Postecoglou. I would be surprised if we don’t end up being very successful in the coming years.
