‘This is karma’ – Some Everton fans appear to celebrate Heung-min Son’s fractured arm

Tottenham Hotspur fans have endured yet more bad news on the injury front today as the club announced that Heung Min Son was to undergo surgery on his elbow.

This came after the player fractured his arm in the match against Aston Villa on Sunday, despite playing through the pain and scoring twice.

This comes just two weeks after Andre Gomes returned to training for Everton, with the midfielder recovering from an ankle break sustained against the Lilywhites.

Fans will remember that Son played a part in the injury that day and even received a red card for his troubles.

The South Korean made a cynical challenge from behind, which led to Gomes catching his studs in the turf and colliding with Aurier, breaking his ankle.

The red card was rescinded as it was determined that Son’s challenge was not violent conduct, but merely the catalyst of a freak accident (BBC).

However, it seems some Everton fans have not forgiven the Spurs player, as a few seemed to celebrate his injury today on Twitter:
