‘This isn’t what I dreamed of’ – Departed Spurs star admits he could move in January

Christian Eriksen has opened up on his struggles at Inter Milan and admitted that the move has not panned out as he had hoped for.

The midfielder completed a move to the San Siro in January and struggled to make much of an impact last season.

He would have hoped things would be different at the start of this campaign with a pre-season under his belt but that has not turned out to be the case, with Antonio Conte continuing to overlook him.

Reports indicate the Inter are looking to move Eriksen on during the January transfer window, just a year after they signed him (FC Inter News).

The 28-year-old has reportedly been offered to several Premier League clubs including Tottenham (Football Insider).

The former Spurs star admitted that he could leave the club in January but insisted that he is focussed on his football for now.

Speaking to TV2 Sport in Denmark (as relayed by Football Italia), Eriksen said: “No, this isn’t what I dreamed of.

“I think all players want to play as much as possible, but the coach ultimately decides who gets to go on the pitch.

“It is a big of a strange situation, as the fans want to see me playing more and so would I, but the coach has different ideas and as a player I have to respect that.

“After all, things aren’t going well for Inter right now, but I acknowledge there were many victories when I wasn’t playing last season too.

“For now, I am concentrating only on my football, then we’ll see when the transfer window opens if something will happen or not.”
