This Spurs man believes the title is a step too far for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine run of form against Inter Milan last night, securing all three points needed to keep their Champions League dream alive.

This followed a thrashing of rivals Chelsea at Wembley last weekend, where Tottenham ran away 3-1 winners.

That win put Spurs up to third, ahead of the Blues, and once again meant that Tottenham are enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League season.

However, even with this fine record, they are still three points behind second placed Liverpool, and five behind League leaders Man City.

Manchester City just don’t look like slipping up at the minute, but all Tottenham can do is keep plugging away.

The most important thing is to ensure there is Champions League football in the new stadium next season.

The Spurs captain Hugo Lloris believes the Premier League title might be a step too far for his team this season.

Who knows if he is trying to keep Spurs under the radar, or if he honestly believes this.

SkySports report he said: “We are building our season step by step. The main target is to keep our place in the top four. We will see where we will be in the second part of the season, if we still have a chance or not. But for me, Liverpool and Man City are both favourites for the title.”
