While Thomas Frank has not announced his new leadership group yet, the Tottenham head coach has already thrown a couple of major hints about it over recent weeks.
Since the start of the season, Thomas Frank has put off deciding on Tottenham’s leadership group, with the Dane understandably wanting to know his Spurs squad better before making the decision.
Now that he has had three and a half months in the job, he has a clearer understanding of the characters in the Spurs dressing room.
Frank has said that he will announce his new leadership to the squad on Thursday, but his recent decisions have given away some of the members of the group.

Two Tottenham defenders will be part of the new leadership group
Frank has had to make decisions on who to give the captain’s armband to while resting Cristian Romero, and that has given us clear hints on those who will form the Dane’s new leadership group.
It was Pedro Porro who captained Tottenham during their 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the Carabao Cup last week.
On Tuesday against Bodo/Glimt, it was Micky van de Ven who led the side out, and Frank has since admitted that the Dutchman will indeed be named within the new-look leadership squad.
While Romero, Porro, and Van de Ven seem like logical picks, it will be interesting to see who else Frank selects out of the likes of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Guglielmo Vicario, Joao Palhinha, and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Thomas Frank has also sent a hint about Spurs midfielder’s leadership qualities
Frank has also repeatedly praised Rodrigo Bentancur, labelling him “a top professional” and admitting that he will be a key part of his side.
Reports indicate that Bentancur is now close to signing a new long-term deal at Spurs, which is perhaps an indication that the Uruguayan will be part of the leadership group at Tottenham.
The experienced Joao Palhinha could also perhaps find a place in the group, with Frank admitting that he has been very pleased with the new Tottenham signing.
