Thomas Frank issues update on three Brentford players ahead of Spurs match

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has provided an injury update on the statuses of trio Christian Norgaard, Rico Henry and Sergi Canos ahead of his side’s trip to Tottenham on Thursday.

Spurs welcome the Bees to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the back of an enforced week’s break, with the Lilywhites’ fixture against Burnley on Sunday postponed due to heavy snowfall.

Brentford, meanwhile, are looking to carry their momentum into the encounter in N17 after claiming a 1-0 win over Everton at the weekend.

The West London side have a handful of injury worries to contend with though, after trio Norgaard, Henry and Canos were all enforced substitutions in Sunday’s win.

However, Brentford boss Frank believes the issues to the aforementioned players are only minor and expects them to be available for the London derby against Spurs in midweek.

In a press conference, Frank said (via Football.London): “Christian [Norgaard] had to come off with a minor back issue but he should be ready for Thursday.

“I don’t know what happened to Rico [Henry] and Sergi [Canos] but they had to come off, but I expect them to be ready too.”

Spurs will have benefitted from what will have been a week off before the Brentford fixture to recover properly. It will be a tough encounter in N17 with Brentford being such a hard-working team under a very talented manager, so Conte will need to have them ready for what is to come.
