Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank could be in line to return to the Premier League, just a few months after being relieved of his duties by the North Londoners.
Frank’s tenure at Tottenham was a painful one both for the fans and for the Dane himself, with things never seeming to click for him at N17.
His style of football was never accepted by large swaths of Spurs supporters, and when results started taking a turn for the worse, it became clear that he was on borrowed time.
In fact, many Tottenham fans felt that Frank should have been sacked long before he eventually was in February. Putting off his sacking and Spurs’ subsequent appointment of Igor Tudor almost cost the club a place in the Premier League in the end.

Thomas Frank could be in line to join London club four months after Tottenham exit
Less than four months on from his exit from Tottenham, Frank may already be in line for a return to the Premier League.
This is according to TEAMtalk, who say that the former Spurs head coach is one of three candidates shortlisted by Fulham to replace Marco Silva, who is expected to take over at Benfica.
The Cottagers have identified Frank, along with Arne Slot and Ruben Amorim, as coaches capable of building on the foundations Silva leaves behind.
Fulham are expected to open talks with all three candidates over the coming days as they step up work to identify their next head coach.
Frank’s Spurs experience should not diminish his qualities as a coach
Frank and Tottenham were never a good fit, but the Dane proved himself at Brentford for nine years, making them a solid Premier League club while working with limited resources.
The 52-year-old is still a good candidate for a club of that stature, and it is not surprising that Fulham are looking at him.
Even if the Cottagers do not opt for Frank, the former Tottenham boss would undoubtedly become a leading contender as soon as any midtable Premier League club sacks their manager next season.
