Thomas Frank has now offered a small but important injury update on Dominic Solanke following the Tottenham forward’s latest social media post.
Dominic Solanke’s time at Tottenham Hotspur has been an injury-hit one, with the forward featuring sparingly so far since moving to north London.
In his first season, Solanke had his fair share of injuries that kept him sidelined for an extended period, and this term has been more of the same.
The forward is yet to start a game in the Premier League for Tottenham under new boss Thomas Frank, having picked up an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since August.
The year is about to run out, and an injury that was once flagged as not too serious could pretty much leave the Tottenham number nine out until next year.

Solanke did look to update fans on social media on his situation with a post of himself training with an hourglass attached to it.
It seemed like the forward was hinting that it was only a matter of time before he returned to action, and now Frank has opened up on his fitness.
Frank explained that Solanke had taken an important step forward by returning to individual outdoor work.
The Tottenham boss told football.london about Solanke’s social media post: “I guess it is good news when he posts that [on social media]. As I said with Dom because it is an injury that he picked up in July, it has dragged on for a while. When he is training fully, I will have news.
“I am happy to answer all these questions but just a little bored of them.”
Spurs are coping without Solanke, but not thriving
Tottenham have been able to deal with the absence of Dominic Solanke thanks to the fitness of Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani. The latter had his own injury setback early on this season, but has since returned and has contributed to Spurs’ play on the field.
Richarlison, who is normally sidelined with injuries, has not had any knocks this campaign and his remaining fit has him as Spurs’ top scorer in the Premier League with six goals.
