Thomas Frank has revealed the four things he loves about Tottenham’s in-form young midfield talent, Archie Gray.
Archie Gray has been enjoying some gametime under new boss Thomas Frank in recent weeks after a few standout displays.
The teenager impressed against Brentford, leaving Thomas Frank to hand out praise to Gray after the game, as the Spurs manager recognised how well he handled the midfield battle.
That display also earned him back-to-back starts, as the Tottenham boss retained Gray in the pivot role against Slavia Prague in the Champions League, where he once again delivered a calm and purposeful showing.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank praises Archie Gray
Glenn Hoddle believes that Gray will only get better and better, and Spurs will be hoping that is the case, as they continue to help the midfielder develop at a steady and sensible pace.
Ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Nottingham Forest, Thomas Frank once again spoke highly about the 19-year-old, and he touched on several aspects of Gray’s development that have stood out to him.
Speaking to the official Tottenham channel, Frank first highlighted Gray’s potential and the way he has approached his opportunity, saying: “I like what I see from Archie.
“He is a very talented young player with great potential. We have seen glimpses of that. He is back in a place and ready to compete again. I like what I am seeing from him.
“What I like about Archie is he is very good on the ball, plays with his head up. He has a great capacity to cover the pitch, good pressing skills.”
Spurs midfield and Archie Gray role analysis
Gray’s qualities are clear to see, as the midfielder’s presence in the centre of midfield has helped Tottenham to tick over both offensively and defensively.
Spurs often struggle to play on the front foot when they rely on Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur in the midfield, and Gray’s introduction has helped solve that problem.
We believe that if Tottenham are to push for a win once more against Forest, then Frank must retain Gray in the centre and bring in one other midfield star, as that blend of energy and control has served Spurs well in recent weeks.
