Thomas Frank has delivered an injury update on Destiny Udogie, after the defender was absent during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 victory over Brentford.
There was jubilation in North London this afternoon, as Tottenham Hotspur brushed Brentford aside to record a rare home win in the Premier League.
It was a great team display from Spurs, with every player in the starting eleven delivering solid performances. This includes Djed Spence, who helped Spurs get forward from the left-back position.
The England international was selected to play and it is not surprising, considering Destiny Udogie was unable to play due to an injury.

Udogie will not be on the sidelines for long… at least that is what Thomas Frank says anyway. Whether Spurs fans choose to trust his words is up to them, as the club are not exactly known for getting players back to fitness as quickly as expected.
According to the Tottenham manager, Udogie picked up a soft tissue injury drawing the 2-2 draw against Newcastle, but he is not able to say exactly when the 23-year-old will return.
According to Football London, Frank said in his post match interview: “He [Udogie] got a soft tissue injury, unfortunately, against Newcastle.”
When asked it if would keep Udogie out for long, Frank responded: “Not too long, not too long, yeah.”
Spurs have a busy schedule coming up
Spurs are back in action on Tuesday in the Champions League and they will have to fulfil three Premier League fixtures at the start of the new year.
Avoiding injuries will be important to building on their victory over Brentford and so hopefully Udogie will indeed be back soon. Spence played well on Saturday afternoon, but he will need a rest every now and then.
