Thomas Frank says Tottenham have ‘best in the world’ that will come in useful against Chelsea

Despite Tottenham’s torrid home form, Thomas Frank has delivered a bold message ahead of the London derby against Chelsea.

It is a clash between two London sides in the Premier League this weekend, with Tottenham Hotspur taking on Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This is only Frank’s second match against one of the traditional big six, and he will be hoping to make it two out of two at the weekend, having already beaten Manchester City earlier this season.

Tottenham’s record against Chelsea, however, leaves a lot to be desired, with the Blues winning each of the last four encounters between the two sides in the league.

Thomas Frank praises Tottenham fans ahead of Chelsea clash

Tottenham’s home record this season has offered little encouragement, with only three teams posting a worse return on their own turf.

Frank is aware of his side’s bizarre home struggles, but he remains adamant that the supporters have played their part impeccably.

The Dane believes he has the best fans in the world and has called on them to create an atmosphere that is deafening against Chelsea.

Speaking to football.london, he said he expects the supporters to play a decisive role once again.

“Home game against Chelsea under the floodlights is going to be unique and special. I am really looking forward to it. We need the fans behind us. I know they give us everything and the best clubs are all united together.

“That is the plan and the aim. 5,000 fans travelling on Wednesday night on the roads. That is incredible determination from the fans and we need that from the team.

“Maybe the best stadium in the world and definitely the best fans in the world, and we know the sound in that stadium can be insane.”

Pedro Porro joins Thomas Frank in praising Tottenham fans

Spurs have managed just one win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but if they are to get a result, they will have to overcome a Chelsea side who have dominated recent meetings.

Frank is not the only Tottenham man to have praised the incredible fans who continue to support this Spurs side through thick and thin.

Pedro Porro, following Tottenham’s Carabao Cup defeat against Newcastle, also hailed the away supporters for their unwavering backing.

The Spaniard urged the fans to rally behind the team once again against Chelsea this weekend. And of course, if Tottenham are to turn their poor home form around, they will need their supporters to make their presence felt once more.
