Three possible Christian Eriksen to Madrid deals I would be happy with

Tottenham Hotspur may now have to accept that it will be near impossible to hang onto star midfielder Christian Eriksen after the player himself revealed his desire to move on (Ekstra Bladet).

Spurs must now begin their hunt for a replacement, which is easier said than done when it comes to the Great Dane.

However, here are three Eriksen-to-Madrid deals I would be happy to see:

£70m in cash –

A simple deal, but with a fair amount of money. If Eriksen had a few years left on his contract, I would expect over £100m from Madrid, but we have to be realistic. The Spanish giants could wait and take Eriksen on a free come 2020, so £70m seems like a more logical fee.

£40m plus Bale –

It is no secret that Gareth Bale and Real Madrid are not exactly mixing right now, and an Eriksen deal could be the easiest way to secure a return. However, the only sticking point here would likely be Bale’s wages, and whether he would be willing to take a huge pay cut to return to Spurs. I would tend to think not, but it’s a deal I would like to see happen.

£30m plus Isco –

A more logical swap deal, as Isco is a like-for-like replacement for Eriksen. The Spanish playmaker has a lot of promise, and could achieve big things if given regular game time at Spurs. With Madrid dipping heavily into the transfer market, they may also be willing to sell on the cheap to adhere to FFP rules.
