Three former Spurs stars react to Harry Kane masterclass against Leeds

Micky Hazard, Graham Roberts and Jermaine Jenas have praised the performance of Harry Kane in Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Leeds United.

Spurs produced a bounce-back display following the defeat at Burnley in midweek with goals from Kane, Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-min Son sealing victory at Elland Road.

The England captain was instrumental throughout the encounter which included him dropping deep to showcase his range of passing, which was put to good use for Tottenham’s fourth in Son’s strike.

In doing so, the pair’s interplay was the 37th time they combined in the Premier League to set a new record eclipsing the tally previously held by Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba (Premier League).

As such, Kane’s impressive and dominant showing drew out plenty of praise from a host of former Spurs players on social media.

Tottenham legend Hazard lauded the 28-year-old’s all-round ability, while Roberts labelled him a ‘monster’ and backed him to break more records down the line.

Former midfielder-turned-pundit Jenas also showed his appreciation for Kane’s distribution when drifting into the centre of the pitch to receive the ball.

Kane’s recent displays have been lights out and shown exactly why Spurs wanted to keep him at the start of the season. His all-round ability has been known for a while now, but it seems as if he has managed to elevate that in recent campaigns.
