Three Tottenham academy players feature in matchday squad

Tottenham Hotspur have named three academy players in their squad to face Fulham at Craven Cottage this evening.

This is Tottenham’s first Premier League match since their 1-0 defeat to Man United last Sunday, and they will be looking to put that loss behind them with a solid win.

However, if they are to grab all three points, Tottenham are going to have o find a way to score without their lead man Harry Kane.

Lucas Moura and Heung Min Son are also unavailable, leaving just Fernando Llorente as the only available first team forward.

There are also vast injuries in the central midfield position, with Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama, and Luke Amos out injured, Dembele now sold, and Dier only fit enough for the bench.

These injury problems have forced Pochettino into putting faith in youth today, as he names three academy graduates in the squad.

Winks is a first-teamer by now, and fans are well used to Oliver Skipp being around, but this may be some supporters’ first taste of 18-year-old striker Kazaiah Sterling.
