Three Tottenham Hotspur players are dangerously close to a suspension ahead of the club’s Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
In many respects, a clash against PSG away from home is the last fixture that Thomas Frank would have wanted next up.
After Tottenham’s abject performance at the Emirates, the pressure is now on Frank to take the handbrake off and show that he can coach a side to attack.
However, Spurs had success playing with a back five against PSG in the Super Cup, and the Dane will be aware that the Parisians are capable of ripping his side apart if they are too open at the back.

Another yellow card means a suspension
Adding to Frank’s headache is the fact that three Tottenham players, including one key man, are on two yellow cards each in the Champions League, as per Tottenham’s official website.
Brennan Johnson is suspended for the match after being sent off against Copenhagen, while Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani are all on two bookings each.
That means that a yellow for any of those three players at Parc des Princes will rule them out of the clash against Slavia Prague at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 9.
PSG could be handed injury boost ahead of Spurs clash
Ahead of the international break, the French media reported that Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele could all be ruled out of the Spurs clash due to injury.
While that was encouraging news for the Lilywhites, it turns out that one of PSG’s most important players may be in line to feature.
This is according to L’Equipe, who have claimed that Dembele has returned to training and is feeling ‘positive’ about facing Tottenham.
