Three Tottenham players receive England call-up

Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for the upcoming October internationals.

The Three Lions face old foes Wales at Wembley Stadium in a friendly at 8pm on Thursday 8th October before facing a double header in the UEFA Nations League.

Belgium are the visitors to Wembley on Sunday 11th October, with Southgate’s side hosting Demark at the same venue just three days later.

Southgate has named three Tottenham Hotspur players in his squad with Harry Winks, Eric Dier and Harry Kane all receiving the call up.

Once again, there is no place for Dele Alli who is currently struggling for game time at club level.

The 24-year-old has been left out of the last two squads, for games against Newcastle United in the Premier League and Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and will be seeking regular game time to give himself the opportunity of being recalled to Southgate’s plans ahead of next summer’s Euros.
