Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, a signing which could be their first in nearly 18 months (Sky Sports).
The central midfield powerhouse would slot into the squad to replace Mousa Dembele, who was sold back in January.
Ndombele has looked extremely impressive at Lyon this season, especially in the Champions League campaign against the likes of Man City.
But how would he fit into the current starting XI at Spurs?
Here are three ways in which Ndombele could appear under Pochettino:
We believe that Ndombele could easily slot into a number of different formations for Spurs, whether it be a 4-2-3-1 alongside Sissoko or Winks, a 4-3-3 beside both of them, or even as defensive cover in a 3-4-3.
With his pace and power, Ndombele could become the perfect box-to-box midfielder for Tottenham, possessing both the strength tackling needed to defend and an eye for a pass and goal when moving forward.
