THST react to club’s ‘unexpected’ statement expressing their disappointment

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust (THST) have reacted on social media following the release of a statement by the club yesterday afternoon.

Tottenham revealed that they are to introduce a ‘Club Advisory Panel’ which will allow supporters to sit on the club’s board and will comprise of elected representatives from different areas of the fanbase and will be “inclusive and reflective of our fans’ diversity”.

The THST had urged the club’s executive board to resign after their involvement in the proposed breakaway European Super League claiming their actions had caused self-inflicted damage on the club both reputationally and financially.

The club claimed that they have been left disappointed by the fact that the board of the THST are yet to meet with the club and are willing to do so with an open agenda, however they are not prepared to discuss a change of Club ownership and the resignation of the Board.

The THST took to Twitter to thank fans for their support and admitted that they were not expecting the club to release a statement and will be preparing a response shortly.
