Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has made a big claim about the club’s decisions regarding Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank after the conclusion of last season.
Very few Tottenham Hotspur supporters would have considered the sacking of Ange Postecoglou as controversial if it had taken place months before the Europa League final.
However, the Aussie was kept on at Spurs, only to be shown the door after he won the club their first piece of silverware in 17 long years.
Tottenham replaced Postecoglou with Thomas Frank in a bid to get back to their usual standards in the Premier League, but this appointment has not gone according to plan.

Tim Sherwood believes Spurs made a mistake sacking Ange Postecoglou
Hindsight can change the way a situation is viewed, but in fairness, there were many people associated with Tottenham who wanted Postecoglou to remain in North London.
Among these was Tim Sherwood, who continued to back the ex-Spurs boss throughout all the hardships of last season.
The pundit has once again voiced his opinion on the landmark decision to part ways with Postecoglou, and he believes it is something Tottenham should regret.
Sherwood told Sky Sports News: “It won’t happen [a return to Spurs for Postecoglou]. Ange Postecoglou, I’ve got a lot of respect for him as a manager who won something at Tottenham when a lot of others tried it.
“We know why the drop off in the Premier League was because he put all these eggs in that Europa League basket, hence why Tottenham are now playing in the Champions League.
“He won a trophy and they had that day with the open top bus, everyone enjoyed it. You got to give that man respect, but they sacked a winner. That’s what they sacked there, and they believed he wasn’t the man to take them forward.”
Sherwood then proceeded to discuss Frank, who he claims has not been a success up to this point.
“They made their choice in the best interest of the club, whoever the hierarchy are, and that is what they’ve done with Thomas Frank. They put their belief into him for one reason, they thought he would be a success, and he still might be but at the moment, he’s not,” Sherwood added.
Tottenham have another big managerial decision to make
Sherwood has not ruled out the possibility of Spurs improving under Frank, but how much time he will be given by the club remains to be seen.
Tottenham were dumped out of the FA Cup last Saturday which means their chances of winning another trophy this season are exceedingly low.
Sacking Postecoglou was a mistake according to Sherwood and Spurs must seek to make the correct decision this time around on whether to pull the trigger on Frank.
