Harry Kane has taken to social media to thank the fans for their support after Tottenham Hotspur ended the season with an uninspiring draw against Crystal Palace.
Going into the clash at Selhurst Park, Tottenham needed to better Wolves’ result against Chelsea to seal a place in next season’s Europa League and they managed to do so courtesy of the Blues doing them a favour by turning over Nuno Espirito Santo’s men 2-0.
The performance was not what Spurs fans would have hoped for but a sixth-place finish is an impressive achievement considering how far off the pace the Lilywhites were after their defeat against Sheffield United earlier this month.
Kane, who produced another excellent finish to put Spurs ahead in the first half yesterday afternoon, admitted that it was not the campaign the club were hoping for, despite the improved run of form at the end.
Thanks for the support this season. Not achieved what we wanted to and know we can be better. Time for a break with the family and some golf. pic.twitter.com/z9ijToLJxk

The 26-year-old also wished the best for Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm, both of whom look like they are on their way out of North London, with their contract running out.
Wish nothing but the best for @JanVertonghen and @Vorm_Official with whatever is next for them. Been a pleasure sharing a dressing room and playing with them both. pic.twitter.com/2hHTRyZADn

Spurs Web Opinion
The season is ending at the wrong time as far as Harry Kane is concerned as he looks really sharp and match-fit. The extended break due to the pandemic seems to have done him a lot of good.
When he gets on runs like this, it is usually impossible to stop him from scoring. With the shortened break this summer, hopefully, he can keep the momentum for the start of next campaign.
