‘Tiring’ – PSG chief addresses Mauricio Pochettino’s future

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has stressed that he finds the rumours over Mauricio Pochettino’s future to be tiring, insisting that pair are constantly planning for next season.

Pochettino was reportedly Tottenham’s number one target before the North London club turned their attentions to Antonio Conte after PSG held firm.

With talks between Spurs and Conte having broken down, some Spurs fans would be hoping that the club would reignite their interest in Pochettino.

However, PA Media’s Jonathan Veal has said that Tottenham are unlikely to return for the 49-year-old after PSG blocked his exit from the club while Alasdair Gold has also said that he expects the Lilywhites to have a new list of managerial targets after with the impending arrival of Fabio Paratici.

Leonardo is certainly confident that Pochettino is going nowhere, insisting that he continues to work with the PSG head coach on a daily basis.

He told France Football: “The rumors around Pochettino are tiring. I speak with him every day to prepare together for next season.

“He has two years of contract and we are very happy with his work.”
