Toby Alderweireld sends message to Harry Kane ahead of surgery

Tottenham Hotspur announced this week that Harry Kane will have to undergo surgery to fix his left hamstring, stating that the England man had ruptured his tendon.

This came in the New Year’s Day fixture against Southampton when Spurs also lost Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele to injury, as well as losing the match itself.

Kane was taken off at the 75-minute mark after he overstretched to tap home a finish to make it 1-1, only to be met with a hamstring injury and an offside flag.

Spurs have claimed that the forward should return to training in April, although that would see him miss both the home and away legs against RB Leipzig in the Champions League round of sixteen.

Toby Alderweireld, who has also spent time on the sidelines with hamstring issues in his career at the back end of 2017 (Independent), has taken to Twitter to send his friend and teammate Kane a get well soon message.
