Toby Alderweireld has taken to social media to post a video compilation of himself hard at work in the gym at Hotspur Way and admitted that he is feeling better every day.
The Belgian international hobbled off holding his groin in the latter stages of Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho admitted after the game that the injury looked to be a serious one and could be without the former Ajax man for some time.
However, the Spurs boss revealed in his press conference on Wednesday that the muscular injury was not as bad as initially feared and that the centre-back could be back in two to four weeks.
Spurs fans would have breathed a sigh of relief at that update since the 31-year-old has built a formidable partnership with Eric Dier in central defence over the last few weeks, with the pair conceding just one goal in Tottenham’s last four Premier League outings.
Alderweireld has now taken to social media to admit that he is working hard to return to action as soon as possible.
