‘Too bad I have to train against you’ – Dier compliments Tottenham teammate

Eric Dier and Lucas Moura have praised one another on social media after the winger completed his long-awaited return to training this week.

Moura returned to action in Tottenham’s Under-21s clash against Arsenal last week, with the Brazilian finding the back of the net in the first half.

With the 30-year-old’s contract running out at the end of the season, some sources had suggested that he might be on his way out before the January window slammed (Alasdair Gold).

The likes of Southampton, Crystal Palace and Everton were all said to be eyeing a move for Moura (The Sun) but the winger stayed put at Hotspur Way.

The former Paris Saint-Germain’s return to fitness offers Antonio Conte a lot more options up front, especially with Arnut Danjuma also arriving on loan from Villarreal last week.

On Wednesday, Moura took to Instagram to post a picture of him and Dier hugging, expressing his delight at being back in training.

Dier has responded to the winger’s post with a comment that reads: “Very good to have you back bro. Too bad to have to train against you.”

In response, the winger also praised the centre-back, referring to him as a beast. Moura wrote: “Hahaha, you are a beast, my brother. Thank you very much. Happy to be back.”
