‘Too good for us’ – Some fans react after Spurs are linked with German international

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to react to a report that the club are among a handful of teams who have entered talks with Antonio Rudiger, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Rudiger, 28, is heading towards the conclusion of his contract at Chelsea and could depart west London on a free transfer at the end of the season.

It has been previously reported that the Germany international has been seeking a lucrative deal, as he sees it as one of the final opportunities to secure one in his career.

Italian journalist Di Marzio claims Tottenham and Manchester City are exploring the possibility of acquiring the £29 million-rated centre-back, and have allegedly engaged in talks with Rudiger’s representatives.

He also adds that European giants Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Rudiger’s situation as they are both looking to bolster their defensive options ahead of the rest of the campaign.

In an interview with Wetten Freunde, Di Marzio said: “Rudiger is in talks with Juventus, Man City, Tottenham and even PSG, who still need a defender.

“It’s difficult to see him signing a new contract. He will join one of the four teams mentioned.”

Some fans have shared their opinion on the prospect of the German joining Spurs.

Rudiger has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons, so it is not surprising to see him garnering so much interest from top European sides. However, with him currently on Chelsea’s books, a move to Tottenham will no doubt be difficult to complete.
